BLRT Grupp completed repair of distressed vessel Glory Hongkong
On April 18, after repair, bulk carrier Glory Hongkong, being in distress in the Gulf of Finland in March, left the Tallinn Shipyard.
In the course of works initially it was necessary to pump out water from the engine room - about 2,000 cubic meters, to clean the engine room and only after it was possible to start with repair of electric motors and main engine.
Bulk carrier Glory Hongkong, sailing under Panamanian flag, with a length of 180 meters and 29 meters width, with a deadweight of 40,000 tons, was distressed on March 8. The distress was caused by entering of water into the engine room. On March 10, it was towed to the Tallinn Shipyard.
